Default K20 EM2

Hey. I have plans to do a K20 swap on my EM2. I've done the research on the engine swap, know how much it's gonna cost. around $8000. but my real question is...

i got an incredible deal on the car, the only drawback is it's an automatic. how much more work would this be during the swap. I'm buying the car off my dad in a couple months, so I wont be doing the swap for a while. Would it be worth it to swap to 5spd while i'm saving up for the K20? Or just keep it automatic until i get the K20 and 6spd?

any opinions?

8 Grand? You talking labor for installation too or what? Shouldn't cost that much if it's the complete swap, shipped, but not installed.

And just leave it auto and get the 6spd w/ lsd later. You will end up saving money and unless you simply cannot stand automatic, then just save your money and deal with the auto. That's my opinion anyways.

Just do the Manual swap when you do the swap. all you need are manual civic pedals, slave and master clutch cylinders and clutch lines. dont' forget the type S shifter cables and box

thanks for the input. makes sense. so basically it really wont cost me too much more because i have an automatic as opposed to someone with a 5spd civic who wanted to do the swap, right? just the pedals and everything else?

oh, btw heres a pic of the EM2
