1st Gen Integra Questions -- Transmission interchange, cranks
I just bought a 1st generation Integra (4 door RS) to convert to a bitchin Hornet car.
I'd like to convert it to a manual transmission--I'm wondering if the D16A1 (I think that it what it has) is compatible with any commonly available manual transmissions?
Also the main pulley apparently busted off in the crank. Haven't assessed the damage yet, but fear I may have to replace the crank. A friend of mine told me he thinks that all those D series cranks are pretty much interchangable--anyone car to comment to the validty?
Thanks,
-k

The class rules state car has to be stock... From what I understand, all hornet racers cheat pretty much, but I'd rather do it on the up and up. I just would like to put th car in a configuration that you could get it on the showroom floor (i.e. stock motor and trans, just a manual instead of automatic).
