Default H22 IABs with p28

Im building a boosted h22, im gonna run hondata with a p28, i know this setup will not control the IABs, what are the pros and cons of them not working or just running them open all the time?

I think that the s300 can work with the p13 actually... don't quote me on that...

anyways, you can get a p72 (obd1 gsr computer) and be able to keep the functional iab's...

If you stay with the p28 idea, then you would be best off unhooking the vac line that goes to them (which will keep them open all the time)

That too.... I remember matt telling me you could do that.... I have never dealt with it personally since I haven't had the stock mani on my car while it had hondata...

I remember seeing a post saying you could use an rpm activated swith to control the iabs. I believe it is in the faq section, ecu thread.

why dont u just hook the iab flapper to a vac port on the IM and call it a day? it will operate close enough to stock.

what are you building this car for? iab's that are open all the time (vacuum line removed) hurt low end power, but it doesn't affect top end. If you're building the car for drag racing, your best bet is to just remove them from the IM completely. If you are road racing it, you may want the extra low-mid range power from time to time, although its not much of a difference.

its not a big loss at all. Barely noticable, but you can tell (untuned). I recently pulled them competely out of my IM.
