need some help with the crank pulley assembly.

Does the woodruff (21) key go on the inside or outside of the plate (16)?

I also noticed there is two different sides to the plate. Which way does it go on?

The plates have a slight bevel and they flair out so the belt doesn't catch on the edge.The key goes outside of the plates.The key usually wants to slide out of the groove.After you slide the pulley on try to rotate it by hand to make sure it didn't slide out.Some times it takes a little patience to install it.
