What Shock/Spring combo do you use?
I just recently bought an unmolested Electron Blue 2001 Prelude w/ 20,000 miles on it. I don't mind that it is perfect and stock but it's just awkward sitting in a car that is original ride height.
I'm interested in the best shock/spring combination and would like to know what you guys use currently or recommend.

I have the Koni Yellows and the Eibach Ground Control coil over springs. I love'em. If you want to have adjustable ride height i suggest going with that combo. Otherwise just get like koni or the kyb agx and whatever springs you want.
I think if you give us a little more insight as to what you'd like out of car, then we could help you out better. Are you looking for ride height, daily driving comfort, super handling, etc?
My setup is currently Koni Yellow/GC coilovers 450/475.

Tokico 5way adjustable Illumina shocks/Tokico 1.5inch sport springs
Ride is great. Big difference from 1-5 setting. I'm currently using the softest setting for winter. The drop is perfect. The car looks low but it doesn't scrape and getting around isn't any more difficult than it was with a stock ride height.
from me on this setup.

im running Eibach Spaortline With KYB's Love em, it sits low but its not like a pogo stick, handles real nice but that has alot to do the suspention teqniques sway bars
H&R Sports & KYB AGX's here.
Been a good setup for me (100% street driven, bad roads, snow, etc.). Shocks are starting to wear out - been about 60,000 miles.

I'm just looking for a general look at what people are going for these days. I've been out of the scene for years now and I'm not looking to make a comeback, I just don't feel right sitting 'stock height' or looking at that big gap between my tires and fenders.
I will be getting myself something adjustable. I have experience with Ground Control Coilovers with Eibach springs set-up and Tokico struts all around but it's been years and I know the market has gotten better.

Basically a sport spring 1.5-1.8inch drop (neuspeed, eibach) and a set of adjustable shocks (tokico illuminas, kyb AGX, Koni yellow) all are great affordable alternatives. Out of the shocks I've mentioned koni yellows are the best than it's all in the eye of the beholder for agx vs. illumina, personally 5way adjustability sounds better than 4way to me.

tein ha, tein flex, tein ss in that order. tanabe is gonna come out with some coilovers soon. koni yelloew or kyb agx + eibach is pretty good. have you searched yet?
other factors you should list besides dampening adjustability is if you want to be able to adjust your ride height and what's your budget? true coilovers are nice but I've heard good things about ground controls as well. how stiff do you want it and how low? many companies offer various spring rates and ride heights.
