P_ADAMS HELP!!
i swapped a 95 jdm h22a motor in a 91coord,the ecu was a f22b sohc vtech a/t,so i bought a new gsr ecu and chipped it,when i connect the p72(chipped) the car started to miss and was having idoling issues, when i connected the f22b it started to run and idol perfect, but its still the wrong ecu for my motor.what seems to be causing this issue with my ecus,i would rather the p72 because it has top end v-tech and its a manual
first of all, what kind of "chip" are you using on the p72...if it is an ebay special "mugen", "spoon", "nismo", or whatever other name they want to call them, then that is your problem right there...
your p72 ecu is just fine to opperate the h22 as long as it is tuned correctly...you will probably need to search out an uberdata or chrome(sp?) tuner in your area in order to make it run right though...that's going to be the cheapest solution...hondata will work with the p72 as well, but again, it is much more expensive...
post up some more details of this "chip" and we can probably help you a little better with your situation...

Did you do the pin-out changes for the egr and vtec functions? There is that issue when modifying a non-vtec harness to vtec (run some wires, change some pin-outs). That could be why it settles down with the original ECM.
The H22 didn't come with it's respective ECM and Harness?
I'm sorry I'm not up more on the H22/Accord swaps. I've only attempted stuffing a B18c(x) in my wifes' Civic EX. That in itself was enough of a project.

if u dont mine i would like for u to explain the pin- out changes that im going to need to do since the original harness is non vtec and the motor its on is vtec. Once everything is done correctly the chipped p72 should work?right?

Yeh, there's your problem. Your trying to control a Vtec motor with a non-vtec harness. Even with the correct ECM, it can't control ALL the required components.
I'll see if I can scare up the wiring requirements for you.

It would have been the easiest way to go, since you wouldn't have to worry about the egr control and Vtec triggering circuits.
The H22 with the H22 harness and ECM wuld have been as close to 'Plug & Play" as you could have gotten.
