I wake up this morning to find my passenger side window smashed. I was expecting them to take my deck, maybe my subwoofer, maybe the amp. But no, they took my owner's manual and registration. And my burnt CDs. What the expletive? I don't even listen to those CDs anymore, they could of just asked for them. Anyways, since I can't roll around with a missing window, I was wondering how much I should expect to pay to get this passenger side window replaced. '96 hatch. TIA.

when this happened to my old hatch I searched on HT for the glass and bought it for like $20 and installed it myself... its really easy to install... otherwise i dont know how much it would cost for someone to do it

 

Thanks for the quick reply. I don't think I can wait and search around for the glass and have it shipped, so I guess I'll be having a "pro" do it.

 

Why not check out local junk yards for ek's? All you have to do is call and see if they have one on their lot.

same happened to me..only i heard them do it from my window..so i picked up my paintball gun that is next to my window and blasted them with PINK frozen *****

 

In the junkyeard in NYC you can get the window and installation anywhere between $60-$100

 

i leave NOTHING in my car, not even a radar detector. After meeting a kid in college who would randomly steal **** from parked cars i learned my lesson. He said he just enjoyed the thrill of snatching the stuff, to each their own i suppose.....

Not really. To each his own when it follows the law. The kid was probably hoping someone would return the favour to him and steal his virginity.

 

glass is cheap if you can find it off a wrecked car. i sold 2 oem 96-00 glass windows for $20.

 

Hopefully that kid runs into some bubba that just likes to beat the **** out little punks and maybe @ss rape him. Poetic...no?

I paid a shop to replace my window. After tax, it was 128.00

 

samething happened to my bros teggy. it costed him 150 for the new window.

 

sorrie to hear that bro..damn thieves...do you have a alarm? your new window should cost you around 100-200 depending on the place you get it...try finding it used...

 

i would worry about them taking ur registration too.
