i have a 95 civic ex coupe and she will not start. i got it to start and then she got to idle and turned off.now she cranks but does not start. when she started up there was a big smell of gas. help fast need to go home from school.

check your fuel lines for leaks, try to pinpoint where the smell is comin from

 

Let it chill for a hot minute then start.. It sounds like one of your problems was flooding it out.
Although im not sure if thats possible... It is on a go-cart.
Also post more info on how the problem started.

 

i have no idea how it started. i got it to start my lifting the back seat and hitting the mettal cover which i think is the fuel pump. after it started it ran ok. now when i was going home at WOT it bogged and then kicked it was at about 4k. could it be a sensor? the CEL light does not work on my car it is alwasys off and i check the bulb so i kno that it works.

 

test to see what your fuel pressureis at. the fuel pump could be getting weak and not be building enough pressure to get it started. also then not be putting out enough when ur getting higher in the rpms

 

got spark?? sounds like the fuel is going though unburned if you smell it out of exhaust

 

plugs, wires and dizzy is new. how can i check the pressure of the pump?

check ur spark, even if the stuff is new it could be getting shorted out somewhere, if your smelling gas i would start at the sparkplugs imho
