Default How difficult to replace the hubs on an HF

Trust me, Ive done a search and I couldnt come up with anything as far as difficulty on removing the hubs.

Honestly I just want to replace the wheel bearings but it'd be easier to just buy new or used hubs from a junkyard. Is it really that difficult to remove the old hubs and replace them?

Also what is a knuckle?? Im a total noobie when it comes to suspension.

in order to replace the hubs without having a press, you need to replace the entire knuckle/hub assembly - not too hard if you have the right tools

not a very good one.

it's easy. I wrote a messages on how to do this. it's even easier if you have a vice, an anvil, and a bunch of large sockets.

You won't need to replace the ball joints if you use a good ball joint separator (like the one shown in the diagram). A pickle fork will ruin ball joint boots quickly.

except that at the end of the day the tool is squirreled away in your tool box, not bolted to your car.
