well the car doesnt go past 3000 rpm in first and second gear but is fine in all the other gear... the motor ran fine wen it was tookin out of the intergra... i am thinking a a vaccum leak somewhere need help desperatly... and if it is a vaccum leak can someone give me a vaccum diagram of a 1990 b18a1 motor plz thx ahead of time

well i dont realy no just trying to get some suggestions.. im buying the crx off a guy hopefully this weekend and the only problem wit it is that i like doesnt go past 3000 rpm he said its like 3000 is its rev limiter for 1st and 2nd so ya

That guy is a moron and must know there is a problem 3k rev limit in first and second?? the guy is on crack if he actually believes that. if you didnt buy it what kind of money you getting it for cause it better be for a hell of a deal cause you dont know what kind of ghetto shiat he did to it

i wouldnt think vacuum leak i would check the grounds to be honest with you but as for a vacuum leak you can usually hear them when its just at idle if you listen for them just look there arent too many too look for....how much is he trying to sell it to you for?

hows the body? if the body is in good shape thats a good price i would still look into the rev though before you buy

 

its a pretty good body has a couple of dents here and there but no biggie easy fix

 

also has dc sport headers coilover sleeves.

 

you know someone by you that could come with you and look at it? i mean sounds like a good deal if you figure out the revving issues hard to just spout things out to you when you dont have the car by you and such it would be much easier just to bring someone with you you know?

yeah, it sounds like a problem in your ignition. I would check that the plug wires are right, maybe the condition of the plugs. is it an Si, HF or DX? if theres wiring changes involved it could be more.

hey could it be the fuel pump goin bad... but i still wouldnt see y its only doin it in 1st and 2nd gear though
