competition clutch is installed
After the springs in my excedy stage 1 went bad and started rattling, i decided it was time for a better clutch. So i with with competition stage 2 clutch and 12lb flywheel. Got it shipped to the door for 495.
once i removed the old clutch i inspected it to find out what was wrong. all the springs were very loose as well as the inner plate.

Once out, the Competition stage 2 goes in and everything is put back togther.

I am now going through a break in on it however i have tested it and it grabs VERY well. I also switched over to syncromesh in the transmission which adds to the completely different feel. It seems like i am in a different car.
One thing i notice though, the clutch doesnt seem to dis-engage all the way whenever i push it all the way to the floor board.
Is this just because it is still so stiff and new?
I am having to double clutch to get it in gear without having to struggle.

Do not drive the car like that, it will ruin the clutch very fast. Did you replace the throwout bearing? Did you use the one that came with your new clutch? One problem I have found once is in different thicknesses of the bearing. A "thinner" bearing then the clutch was designed for will not let the clutch dissengage all the way.
I bleed fluid to no end, replaced the Slave and Master cylinders, nothing fixed it. Finally pulled it apart and put another bearing in that was about a 1/4" thicker and if fixed everything.
Now, that may not be exactly what your problem is..

i did use the throw out bearing that came with it. I know this is going to sound dumb, but i dont have my shop manual with me...but how do you adjust the clutch pedal?
I believe there is a 12mm bolt connected to the clutch pedal near where it leaves the cabin and enters the engine bay. It should adjust which will adjust the clutch in and out - adjusting where the clutch will "grab".
