Default 88 crx auto to manual

Before u search try search! I have! every possible way to search it i have tried!

Everything I have read says there is a hole on the fire wall for the clutch cable to go through when you do the swap. right?! well my car doesn't. so do I drill a hole or WHAT????? any ideas?

Youre probably going to have to drill a hole. Some cars had them and some didnt.

There's a lot more involved than drilling a hole, you have to widen the shifter hole to accept the stifter and linkage movement. And a bunch of other stuff that I'd rather not get into. Goodluck and let us know how it goes.

No you dont!!! I just did an 89 CRX auto to manual a month ago. Other than the hole it was a 100% bolt on conversion.

It helps if you have a 5-speed EF for comparison. The hole itself should be just big enough for the cable to fit through, but not so big that it fits sloppy. You have to drill two more holes for the shift linkage but other than that it all bolts up. Good luck with the rear mount.
