alrighty guys i got a 00 ex header for my car and i thought i could just cut the plug for th o2 run a longer wire and put the plug back on,well it didnt work. can some please tell how to lengthen the wire right?

IMHO i would it would, it make a way better connection.

solder is your friend.. i gave in and went out and got a soldering iron, solder, and shrink wrap, and ill never go back to butt connectors

 

yeah i already had all that b/c i used it to make my dizzy jumpers for my obd1 conversion i am going tobe doing.

You could do that OR use heat shrinking tube.
