im soon getting a b16 in my 94 cx hatch.. and i was wondering should i go with a full gsr brake swap or should i just do a rear disk swap..?? thanks

 

You don't have to do either. I wish I hadn't... Just get a good set of pads/rotors for the front and you should be straight.

But if you don't like the drum look, do the rear disc.

 

yeah with the rear disk swap it looks really nice.. but im just thinking would it be worth the cash to do that.. or should i just upgrade on the front brakes..

yes u should, it looks good and brake better, especially with a swap u would want better stopping. it's annoying fixing your drum anyway when u could just put some pads and a disc and your done.

 

the main problem people have when doing a ear disc swap is using the right proportioning valve

 

get the full brake swap, its well worth it. you car will stop much better than with the drums. get a 4040 prop valve and a 15/16" mc and booster from an integra rs (non-abs) also and youll be set.

 

Theyve got full rear swaps to disks for like $175 on hmotorsonline.com

 

Im doing my brake swap as we speak...so much work...after all said and done it wil like 600 for setup

300 for conversion+ lines
220 for new brembo blanks, hawk hps pads, brembo dot 4 fluid
90 for new 1991 4dr ex master cylinder
40 for prop valve
20 for extra fittings, tools etc

 

a good set of pads, rotors, and ss brake lines will do wonders.
