Default new clucth lasted 2 weeks

im really pissed rite know i been though my fair share of imports with b18 rex and 00Si but now im driving a 94 dx coupe with a stock motor when i bought the car the clucth was slippin so i take it to some asian mechanic and he says he put in new clucth and pressure plate thpowout bearing and main seal foe $265 works fine for 2 weeks when i am driving yeaterday i put it in third and and my worst night mare i hear it sliping. fromt here is get worst and by the time i drive it to my house its sliping bad and i tell it the clucth. so i take it back to the guy and he says he gots to lok at it but maybe i bruned it up already but i broke it in for 300miles and maybe max i did like 5 brun outs and 2 wit the E brake on i done 100's brun outs on stock cluccth and they lst why did this one lst so short and whos falut was iot mine or the guy that put it in please help thanks

well i was going to ask you if he may have just replaced the clutch disk and didnt touch the pressure plate, but then you talked about the burn outs... my dad runs a shop and when customers do this it pretty much rules out installation mistakes...most of the time the kids that do this get away with it and they get new parts too...

i dont know, maybe you're right and it shouldn't have burned up but still...

maybe your clutch is slipping from all them burnouts. i'm sure you did more than 5. was it worth it?

he said it was resurfaced maybe i didnt make it clear i broke in the clucth easy driving for 300 miles and to spoon racer WTF the clucth is susposed to handle the punishment stock car stock motor stock clucth i should be able to do what ever i want to it but ofcourse excessive abuse will brun clucth faster and no i did like 3 brun outs wtf why would i lie im looking for help here and two weeks is just too short i can under stand if i was fuking spining tires every were but i wasnt how ever i have come to a different conclustion that the clucth was never fully engaged because i could never bang 2nd from the start it would always slip if i tired to bang 2nd to you think that could be the problem

well, let me make it clear. I dont care how shitty of a clutch you got put in your car, you should be able to burn the **** out of it for longer then this. take it back and tell him that its a pos and to put in another one, i would at my shop no questions asked. a clutch should last months wven under the stress of 5 burnouts a day. take it back

This is your fault. You shouldn't do any burn outs or hard shifting before the clutch is properly broken in.

finnaly thc gets the picture and sohc4life cant read i did break it in dumb *** cant you read...... thanks for the help guys
