Default ACT CLUTCHES...whose familiar...?

Ok heres the deal. My buddy has an Si, he bought it like a year ago with this tough *** clutch in it, and he hated it, especially since his car was stock. Anyway im going turbo soon and we decided to swap clutches, i got a good deal on a brand new stock replacement for like 120 for the kit, so i bought him that to trade with the one he had. So today we swap out his and it turns out it is an ACT. Anyway heres where the question comes in, on the Pressure Plate i see the number H015X. Now i believe this is an Extreme pressure plate, but how does this strength compare to the Heavy duty one? Also the disk looks stock and has a little crown symbol and says NKK on it i believe, and i think thats stock. Anyway anyone know the info on that pressure plate, all i could find was H025X's for sale, and i was wondering if maybe this one was cheaper/weaker. Thanx guys, also wat disk would u recommend, for a GSR on 8psi lookin for like 250WHP, not sure about the torque (even tho i know thats what matters), should i run wats in there, it looks like its still got some meat, or upgrade to a ACT street strip? Thanx alot guys, i know this is long but im pretty confused. Thanx again
Dan

I cannot stand the xtreme pressure plate. What I was running on my 2.2 turbo around 12psi was the ACT 6-Puck disk and the heavy duty pressure plate. It never slipped once and it was very streetable. It was my favorite clutch that I have ever used, and that is what will go on my eg in the near future. Good luck.

I f i remember correctly the extreme has more fingers on the pressure plate. The extreme is a nice pressure plate, i believe 30% pressure increase. I would take that plate and use a stock disc.

Thats an act xtreme.

You could always order a new disc for like 100-120 bucks. Get the street strip disc with copper shavings in it.

6puck ACT is overkill unless your making st00pid power. Its unsprung and VERY abrasive towards the flywheel and pressure plate area.

The clutch you have, i seen used for over a year with 300+ whp and NO problems

Im sure there are people out there who have had probs tho. It depends on driver. and a common problem is imput bearings with a clutch that grabs well and a higher milage trans.

Ok great, thanx for the replies guys. One more question for now, as far as the part number being H015x, and the new ones being H025x, obviously its an older model, are there any differences? also is anyone running this older one?
Thanx again

act pair's huge clamping force with organic disks which i'm not a fan of.

Yea the pedal in my buddies Si was just outta control. It will be intersting to see how it feels in mine, although im sure it will be the same. Oh well, its worth it knowing it will hold the power. Thanx
