Default suspension installation question

Who ever says search i have multiple times. My question is about bump stops and dust covers on shocks. i am going to install either skunk2 coilovers of tein s springs with tokico blue (witch i already have). My question is where do i have to cut the bump stops and do i reinstall the dust sheild? i bought the shocks from a buddy. They are brand new just without any instructions. i also will be buying the shocks/coilovers from one of 2 guys witch both used them for 2-3 months. these are going on a 92 lx just so you know lmk thanks

Default Re: suspension installation question (zacatkings)

cut the bumpstops in half is ok as a general rule of thumb.

if you are installing adjustable spring kits like ground controls, leave the dust boots off completely, even if the instructions say to cut them. they will get in the way. if youre using regular springs, then install them as normal.

i really suggest you dont use skunk2 kit. get ground controls. and i really suggest you not bother with the blues, unless youre just going to put the s techs, because those are soft springs anyway.
