mainly depends on where you get the motor. average ive seen is $2000-3000. the majority of that is spent on the motor and transmission itself. then little things add up like a timming belt, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, water pump, clutch, flywheel and maybe even replacing the valve cover gasket. just basic maintince to the motor so you wont have to worry about it for a while after you drop it in.

30001 - B16A 88-91 (SiR I) Motor, Tranny, Computer
160Hp 111Trq 10.2 Compression (JDM)
$ 1250.00 Plus shipping and handling.

30009 - B18C 94-97 (GSR) Complete Change Over
180Hp 126Trq 10.6 Compression (JDM)
170Hp 121Trq 10.1 Compression (USDM)
$ 3149.00 Plus shipping and handling.

Those are from hmotorsonline.com

Hasport
Mounts $399.20 (B Series)
Swap axles $399.00 (B Series)
Shift Linkage $150.00

So around 950 for mounts, axles, and linkage. Then the price for the motor that you choose. With a b16 it will be easier to wire because it is obd0. The gsr is obd1. You would have to convert up to obd1 for the gsr. That should kind of give you an idea

I don't know if I would put that much into a car that I bought for $100.00. Is it in good shape or needs a lot of work? Chances are you can find a car with the motor you want for less than it will cost you to build your $100.00 car. Don't get me wrong, you may have gotten a great car for the money and it may well be worth the $ to do a swap. Reguardless it's your call. Good luck.

buying other people's creations usually ends in disaster. I like knowing that my car was put together properly, by myself, and not someone else. Alot of people here would probably tell you that.

I also take pride in telling people that my engine is worth WAY more than my car.
