i have a 94 lx civic 4 door that im gona sell and get a 2 door civic (preferably w/o an engine or tranny) that i am gona do a swap to.
i've been looking @ some of the engine options.
but why are vtec engines with the same hp as a type r model so much cheaper?
do the type r's have alot more potential?
also why are the type r's so expensive in general? are they really as amazing as
they say and look?
i probably sound like a rookie idiot but i honestly need responses because i wana learn!!
(also what car and swap would you reccomend)?

type-r motors are mostly built by hand, have a mild port and polish job on the head from the factory, and have better internals than the other VTEC motors.
