Default about to get my motor pulled

I'm about to get my motor pulled in favor of another with less miles. i was wondering what are some decent upgrades that i should do while the motor is out, ive already thought of getting a new intake manifold, and possibly motor mount inserts. But i cant think of anything else. thanks for your input guys

Definately do a good cleaning, when I do my swap I will be taking the hood off and getting it hella clean underneath, and inside everywhere, probably wont do a wire tuck because I like to be able to get to everything easily, maybe in the future however. Also, if your getting a new engine, you may as well do the timing belt/tensioner and water pump while it is out.

PS> Woot! 300 posts!

While its out do the timining belt and oil and water pump.. Ull thank urself later.. Maybe upgrade the clutch resurface the flywheel or get a new one... Sometimes that's easier with the motor outside of the car

Check the vacuum lines and coolant lines all around the motor since its out and easy to work with. Also DEFINATLY do the timing belt and water pump it really will save u $ later down the road. Hey and what the hell get some engine bright and clean her up. Maybe sand down and repaint valve cover. new headers and intake manifold if you wanted to do that now would be the best so u dont have to tear half the engine apart later or worry about space.

put a new thermostat in it, and maybe even a front and rear main seal while you have things apart.

Eh Id say Just the timing belt and water pump should do it. Its 100000X easier to do a Timing belt with the motor out. It will definetly make things easier down the line.

Go ahead and do all your regular maintenance while it's out of the car. Timing belt, AC/PS, water pump, rear main seal, oil pan gasket, etc. This **** will leak on you eventually (mine is already) and it's a hell of alot easier to replace when the motor is out of the car.
