Default Planning the first oil change in the 06' Si

I've always been faithful with Mobil 1 Synthetic
however i wanted to post up before i went and purchased it

has anyone with the rsx type s found something that is a little better
or should i stay with what i have been consistantly pleased with

Thanks in advance

God damn it. You guys slam miles on these suckers faster then I could blink.

To the RSX guy whom did his oil change... How many miles before your first oil change? Just call me curious.

Well the manual says between 5-10k miles depending on your driving habits.

I just did mine at 5500.

I think you're supposed to wait until 5,000 miles on the first oil change b/c the oil from the factory has sedatives for engine break-in.

Mobil 1 synthetic is fine.

I think the Mobil is the best reasonably priced higher end oil. I have used it for years and in some turbo charged cars and have had no complaints. If its not broke, dont fix it.

Straight to Mobil 1 on my RSX-S at 1000 miles. No problems with oil consumption at all.

I don't care what Honda says, leaving the original oil in your car until 5000 miles just scares the hell out of me.

Just check the manual man, it should say every 5K miles.
