Default Connecting keyless entry to Parking lights. Info Please

Hi i've just got a keyless entry system and connected it to the 12v wire in the ignition and grounded it. I have also connected the supplied wire to the parking lights.

I tested the parking light wire (red/black into Brown connection on fuse board) before hand and it only showed current when the parking light where on. which from the guide it was the right one.

When i lock and unlock the system the parking lights do not flash, even tho i have connected the wire to do so.

I drive an EG3 imported from Japan if thats any help.

Any info or advice welcome.
Thanks
Brainz

Test the out put from the keyless. Or look in the install guide. I am willing to bet its a (-) 500ma output for a relay. If thats the case get yourself a standard Bosch SPDT relay and connect like so...
85 - 12v +
86 - Ground
30 - Out to parking light wire in car
87 - 12v +

Be sure to fuse the 12v + wire powering the relay

Forgot to add the wire from the parking light comes straight from the 1 box. All the wires connect to the supplied box which contains all the relays.

I dont know if that makes sense.

If it helps this is the product i bought

On the auction listing, it lists the wires, under the parking light wire it says see note. Wheres the note? Is it possable the note says you need to add the relay? It would not be uncommon to have to add the parking light relay on a cheaper unit. Test the parking wire output from the alram. Does it pulse 12 volts when you hit lock and unlock? Or does it pulse a ground? If its ground you need to add the relay or if the relay is built in you need to switch a jumper.

The lightflash relay is built in, output is high current pos. (+) You may have the wrong wire for park lights, what year is the car? Dose it not have "free pins" on the under dash fuse box? If it does there will be a park light in/out free pin.

It may also be that the park light output from the Auto Loc is bad. 94

Its a 95, i'll ahve to check the fuse box again once i get home.

Iam guessing if i use a voltmeter at the end of the parking light wire and lock unlock i should get a current through. This would prove if its the relay or where i've connect the wire.

Yeap except you wont have to use diodes and connect to individual parking light wires as pictured. Just run the fused wire from 87 to the parking light wire in your car.

Now 87a is not used but will rest at 12v so be sure you tape the relay up or if you have a relay harness be sure you tape off the wire for 87a.

Light flash output is low current neg. (-) and you will need a relay for the park lights.

The KL550 does not come with the actuators and although door-lock relays are on board the light flash one is not, the vendors description of 3 relays on board is incorrect, and when I look at it again it can't be "park lights, door lock, AUX output", you need 2 relays to do the door locks alone.

You should have the free pins, [a set of 5 unused male term. just above the fuses... ]

You can also get a constant 12V+ there for the relay 94
