Default sohc build up

Ive decided to keep whats in my del sol, its a d16z6, so im going to do a build on it. My question is who is a dealer that i can get all my parts from for this build, i prefer mailorder so i dont have to go through my shop. Its a muscle car shop so the dealers we use arent really into distributing vtec cams, but anyway any advice on to which sight and which company to start buying parts from, what company takes this motor seriously.
I guess what im asking for is a company that sells everything i need for this motor. i dont really care about b series.

i think its better to shop around and buy parts off different people so you get the best deal. When you say "build" what exactly do you want to do? Are you going all motor or forced induction (turbo, supercharged, nitrous)... what are you looking for? Pistons, rods, cam??? Right here in the honda-tech marketplace in the sponsors section you can find good deals on almost everything but they are all different dealers.

But honestly before you do anything, I think you should look around and read a little bit, and learn a little more about the motor you have. That way you know which route you want to go... Check out, http://www.d-series.org and http://www.turbod16.com

good luck,

ya d-series.org is your friend. check out the h-t marketplace and the forsale items on d-series. also check out ebay..... they sell alot of d-series stuff on there. you should really read up before you go spending your money. i hate buying stuff and then finding out for my self the disadvantages

engine building is not an issue for me, i want a cali smogable turbo car. Im curious who makes a street legal kit, i just wanted to know about where to get alot of stuff, i see alot of y8 parts for sale from cam companys but not nearly as many for the z6, everyone on here is so quick to jump to conclusions about me not knowing anything, i think it has something to do with that sign by my name that says noobie. I am new to this site i never bothered to check out the market place, if its second hand stuff i like buying stuff that doesnt ever wear out, like non moving parts and such, not a cam or a crank or something. I dont want a race motor I just want a turbo motor that will last a long time and a car that is fun to cruise around with and FEEL as quick as my old evo. Not going to go drag race or something like that, this is a street car that i want to play with.
Please dont leave comments about turbo motors arent reliable and all that, I know that i could just pop a gsr in and it would be extremly fun to drive and very reliable but thats boring. Everyone swaps no one gives any love to the d. Its a good motor otherwise honda wouldnt have sold it. Plenty of turbo cars are reliable they just have to be built and tuned right. Of course a turbo with a stock bottom end isnt going to last very long, it wasnt designed to last with a turbo. So yes i am going to build this motor right, i am simply looking for a supplier that sells more than just intakes.
