Effects on increasing oil preasure?
Quite a few few of my friends had their mechanic put washers in the area when you take out the oil pan. I presume some oil pickup hose of sort.
I know this is a gheto way of doing it but i wanted to know is there any negatiev effects in doing so?
Will i have to go and have a retune after doing so?

You can put spacers in the pressure relief valve and this increases the overall pressure.
There are no real benefits to increasing oil pressure IMHO. Be carefull that the oil pump is put back together properly.

More responce? The oil pressure now supplies enough to keep everything lubricated. Really the only benifit I see is helping the oil cool faster (granted an oil cooler is installed).

i think increacing oil presuer will help keep all the parts luricated properly and reduces the risk or spinning a rod or main bairing. but thats imo.
It probably does nothing except increase parasitic drag. I guess if you had many accessories using oil such that your stock pressure was not enough, like a turbos and a bigger oil cooler, then it could actually serve a function.

i heard that if increasing oil pressure, it will make ur vtec stronger, because vtec uses oil pressure to engage. Since no/low oil pressure won't engage vtec. This is what i heard, don't know if it is true or not. could some one pls verify true or false?

False. You just need enough oil pressure to engage the vtec, after that it's on the high rpm lobe. Nothing else to do.
This will make your oil pump work harder and decrease power. If it did something useful, you'd hear more racers doing it.

Sad but true, i've been trying to explain there is nothing to be gained from doing it and yet they tell me it's worth it just to make their vtak sound louder!

That's like saying that if you flip a light switch harder, it will make the light shine brighter. It just doesn't work that way.
