Hook up an external gauge and see what the psi really is.

You have to remove the original sender completely, and im talking about the sender thats by the oil filter. The one by the filter connects to your light on the cluster.

What i would do: go to walmart and buy their $5 universal oil psi gauge. It comes with the correct BSPT adapter so it will thread into the block. Just read the directions that the gauge comes with. If u want a permanent gauge set up, i would step up to something better with stainless line, but the walmart **** does the trick and will let u know if there is a problem quickly. Once the problem is solved, remove everything and reinstall the original 1 wire sender. You might want to search here on HT about "oil psi gauge install" or something like that to get a feel for what u will be doing.

The sender by the filter serves only 1 purpose and thats to operate the light on the gauge cluster. The sender by the vtec solenoid is for the ECU. If the one by the filter isnt even plugged in, then why does your light on the cluster work? I think u said u had a teggy cluster installed....i wonder if u f'd up the wiring.....

Did u wire the cluster in yourself?

Well check on that sender by the filter to see if u have it hooked up. If it is, then follow my tip about the walmart gauge. If its not hooked up, then u messed up somewhere with the wiring. This thread is pretty much done until u put some work in.
