So i've been trouble shooting my car since i put this new motor in.. The motor came out of a friends stock crx and ran fine when it was removed.

I got everything else worked and have no codes

it idles rough like its running on 3 cylinders

so i pulled the plug wires while it was running and #4 is the only one that makes no difference if its conected or not

what could this be... i really don't think the motor is dead it was fine when we removed it

Try another plug wire... Or a new plug... Maybe the injector is clogged ... If its none of them check compression

 

checked spark via grounded the strap and the cars got spark in #4

fuel injector was switched with a good one and still no love from #4

next i will do compression, but i have to buy a tool for that, so if anyone has any other suggestions that would be great

this motor just didn't all a sudden die. It ran good in a stock rex, was pulled, put in mine and now #4 doesn't make a difference when i pull the plug car runs the same regardless if its attached or not

 

Check the cap and rotor. Might have a messed up rotor.

Actualy I bet the cap was damage in the swap.
