Default OMG.....motor problems please help!!

To basically sum it up....the #1 spark plug wire has kept popping out. And once it made my car run on only 3 cylinders. Today the same thing happens.....but kept happening even have I stopped 3 times to plug it back in. So I had to go to work with this Ducati sounding car. Drive home and car is still the same.....please tell me I just didn't nuke my motor. It idles the same....just when I give it gas it starts sounding like a V-Twin and vibrates the car a lil more. If this new motor just blew on me....I don't know what I'm gonna do.

What kind of plug wires do you have? Are you sure the #1 plug is tightened down all the way? One of my plug wires popped off once, and I got a cyl misfire code, turns out I forgot to tighten one of my plugs all the way

Just found out it's not #1 but actually #3....heh. I pushed it down as best I could and still nothing. Spark is going through the wires....but won't ignite. Gawd I hope it's something I've just overlooked.

pull the plug and make sure it's not fouled to hell, you can grab the plug wire and put the spark plug's electrode on a chrome valve cover cap to create the ground Don't CRANK the car, but have someone turn it over a few times, and see if the spark arcs to the electrode.

Might want to remove the other 3 spark plug wires from the cap to keep the car from trying to start while testing this.

I recommend replacing the wires with brand new OEM, BUT until then, try opening the distributor side of the wire connector, so that it seats better. Might work, might not, but get new OEM wires anyway
