Default spoon drain plugs are great, sohc trannys are poo poo.

I took off the old tranny last night and took out the drain plug, it looked like a tiny metallic troll, i wish I had taken a picture because words cannot do it justice. I suggest buying these plugs if anyone has not yet.

What is the big difference between the DOHC and SOHC trannies?

I would like to get an LSD but I cannot swap it out and put it in a DOHC later on.

D series trannys, $20 each for synchros
B series trannys, cheaper to buy another tranny reather than replace the synchros.

Got a 3rd gear grind?

did you change the aluminum o ring and torque it down correctly? That o ring must be changed every time, its a crush gasket.

OMG, another from the 'Nati.

never changed the alum. washer, never needed too.

BTW why a SPOON magnetic drain plug for a tranny? Isn't the factory double magnet setup enough?

YES IT IS!

Fastest SOHC in town.
