1st gear clutch/tranny problem?
Need help guys...just now I came across my 1st gear not able to be place in 1st gear. You know when you put it in Neutral and you move it LEFT to RIGHT (wiggle), my "LEFT" is stiff and hard to pull to the left vs. the RIGHT which is easy. Now I kind of smashed 1st to 2nd w/ no traction and wheel hopping, my clutch seems to be F*CK on 1st gear, other gears 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, reverse is okay. HELP!!!! is it clutch or do i need a new throw out bearing!

no you dont need a new clutch or a throwout bearing. you probably like bent a shift rod or something. iether way if you want to fix it your going to have to pull the transmission and disassemble it. next time try giving the syncro a little time to do its job. then u wont f up ur tranny.

bump...need help guys....not sure if it's really really safe to drive my car....i think my 1st synco is going out...as well as my 5th...driving my 99 hatch right now....
