WHAT RWKW HAVE YOU ACHIEVED.......................................... .........:]
hello... ive just gone to some motorsports shops around the sydney area and have come up with this..
Just about to buy an s2k and want to work the motor...
exhaust
headers
hondata computer
Inlet induction
cams, cam gears
that all sounds good to me but not one can give me a rough idea on how much rwkw that will put out...
So how much rwkw do you's have with what mods... thanks

hahah, geezzus.
hahah, geezzus.
Seriously, that shop has ZERO ******* clue as to what they are doing.
a) No hondata at all for the S2000
b) cams = HUGE waste of money, because in order to make great power with them, you need cam gears, and massively upgraded internals..and you still won't make as much power as you would with FI.
c) Forced Induction is the only SANE way to make HP with the S. Supercharger or turbo, its your choice..either will net at least 300 whp.
d) What the in the hell is inlet induction?

and also you'll notice i said cams and cam gears...
that is what i was gonna start with then do internals...
im trying to get the most power of out it as n/a dont wanna go turbo or supercharger... i already have built a turbo car now sold that and now wanna build a n/a car

No really, there is no Hondata for the s2000...

What they are trying to say is that if the shop you took your car to said they are tuning a Hondata on a s2000, they are either Honda geniouses or blatant liars. I would tend to lean towards the latter.
Also, FI actually is the only way to get power out of this engine. You can get 20-40 from all the bolt ons, headwork and tuning, but you are in it for easily 2-3x what the cost of a basic turbo/SC setup would be at that point.

You didn't mention if you meant Sydney as in Australia, or Sydney in the USA. I will assume you meant Australia.
There are a few Sydney locals in these forums:
http://www.aus.s2ki.com
Also try talking to MRT performance.
As previously stated there is no Hondata for the S2000 (although it exists for just about every other model Honda).
To get good HP gains going N/A you would have to spend more than if you bought a S/C or turbo kit.
http://www.capa.com.au will import a Vortech S/C kit for you if you wish to go that way.
Other alternatives include buying directly from the US companies:
Vortech, or Comptech kit make supercharger kits.
Lovefab, Ultimate Racing make turbo kits.
The base Vortech and Comptech kits will be able to bolt on without the need for an upgraded exhaust, so factor that into your costings.
The other option is Nitrous Oxide.
For a bit of extra acceleration you could just change your final gear ratio eg "4.57 gears"

Man, just stop. You are NEW to the S2K, you just told us that. There are NO, get it, NO Hondata for the S2K. We have talked to Hondata and they said that they will use a a K motor hondata with the K sensors. They told us it would be over 3500 $. and they dont know if it would work right even after that.
Please tell the shop you have talked too that they dont know ****. If you go to Todas site they will even tell you that the cams dont do much because the OEM ones are maxed out. If you want NA power then get Inline Pros 2.5lt stroker with 13-1 to 15-1, ITBs, AEM EMS, Gears, ext. After you spend $15-20k let me know. We can race and you will see how you just wasted your $$$.
You are a NOOB to the S2K, the S2k is not like any other car. Its maxed out from the Fact. You cant just go and add cams and hope you will get 30+rwhp. It just doesnt happen.

lmao...guy comes in here trying to prove others wrong and HE's the noob! hahaha, that is a new one, pretty funny though.
I'd probobly base my entire opinion on that shop on the fact that they told you they were running Hondata on the S2000, and the fact that that would be impossible, id tell the guy, and then id find a new shop.
And honestly...you're looking to make alot of power n/a? It aint gonna happen, you'll have a quick car, but the power wont be as impressive as an FI setup would yield. NA cars are typically built for a track, where power is down the list on the most important aspects in upgrades...id focus on tires, suspension and track time, then worry about power later...
And was your title of this thread really neccesary? I mean really...jeez.
