power steering removle
Nope, if you look closer, I removed the PS from my car in those threads (98 base model). You'll need to loop the input and output fittings on the rack valve body on a 5Gen. Look at the service (Helms) manual. It should be very obvious which two lines you loop together. I didn't bother looping mine, I just did a full manual "conversion." IIRC, the fittings are M14x1.5 and M16x1.5. If you want a breather, I have a Tilton breather I was going to use until I decided to do the conversion instead of looping lines with a breather.
Also on the 5Gen, you could remove the valve body, which should help a little if you loop the lines. I removed the valve body and seals on my conversion.

10 minutes? Not quite.
If you can figure out a way to remove the fittings and install the looped fittings without removing the rack from the car, let us know how you did it.

taking the rack out is not as big a deal as most people make it out to be....all you gotta do is loosen the inner tie rods, steering u-joint, and then the two brackets....done....
it would probably be easier to do a manual rack at this point than to loop the lines w/o removing the rack....

Where would you look for a manual rack?
I've got my lines T'ed to a catch can so the rack can breath. The main problem I had at first was the caster angle. Any lowered Prelude will have a higher caster angle than stock. This makes the car harder to steer. I have adjustable ball joints so mine were a little more extreme at 4.8deg. Stock is around 2.1 degrees which is where I have it now. I'd know your caster angle before doing the conversion.
