Default ID a part

Facing the front of the radiator of my just bought 2002 Honda Accord I found an new unconnected pipe that comes around from the back of the radiator up to the top right corner of the radiator front where a nozzle type fitting (with a washer on it) that protrudes out the back of a caplike pipe head should fit into the hole that is there. A bolt just above nozzle connection is also used to attach the pipe head/cap to the radiator. Can you please tell me the function of this pipe and will it be okay to drive it to the shop? I tried to connnect it myself but I can't seem to get the right leverage to push the snug fit together. I removed the sawed off old pipe end myself by taking out the bolt and pulling out the nozzle piece that was still in the hole.

Thank you for such a quick response! I don't think so. The pipe goes up to the top of the radiator to the front right (or driver's) side to the very corner. It almost looks like a socket wrench head where in attaches to the radiator there.

This is the detail of the A/C Condenser, which is mounted in front of the radiator (and would be the first thing you see when looking in from the front.

And the detail for it's associated hoses - I think this may be what you need

Duh! The website you shared has all the parts! I think I can hunt for it there. Took me a minute to figure it out. Not too bad for a grandma I guess! Thanks again.

I believe it is the hose discharge unit. Will it be okay to drive it unattached to the shop?

I did turn on the air briefly to see how it was working, just got the car today. It didn't work of course but I didn't know why. Found the disconnect when I got home. I only left it on for a few minutes. Hope that was okay. Does it also affect the heater?
