Default intake manny swap-worth it

whats up everyone, let me start by saying this is all for a 1992 vx hatch, i actually have two questions, first, i am aquiring a jdm D15b vtec intake manny which i believe is the same as the usdm z6, i am wondering if swapping this manny to my motor would even be worth it. my second question is two part; is the vx throttle body really 56mm like the other EGs cuz i dont believe it is but dont have proof. secondly, if i get a larger TB say a LS and need to remote mount the map would i just need to tap into manifold vacuum and get a new map sensor or could i still use the z1 sensor. thanks in advance.

the VX motor is quite possibly the worst motor you can mod. I would not recomend doing anything to one. Just swap in a full Z6

the ports on z6/d15b matifold are like 3 times bigger then the ports on vx head. Doesn't match. Personally I think this is useless. Save the money and at least swap a z6 in there.

Seriosly if you take of the IM and look on the ports for vx motor you will laugh really hard. I did. TB is also good enough for a lawmover.

yeah i figured but i got it as part of a trade. im actually looking for a z6 but i have only come across one in a local junkyard and for the motor, tranny, ecu they wanted $1000, and it has 130k on it, not a deal for me. money isnt an issue, but reliability and driveability is so i would like to stay D for now, just cant find crap in my area. thanks for the input by the way.

yeah just keep on looking. At shops, or somebody on honda-tech.

You should be able to find a complete swap between $400-500.

Personally You should do what ever you want, but the motor you currently have doesnt have much potential. well a little but not near as much as a z6, i love my z6 and have no plans on swaping it.

cant do a minime on a z1, the dished pistons wouldnt work, and going internal on the z1 is a waste of time and money
