<FONT COLOR="green"> <FONT SIZE="3"> I bought my wife a EG sedan LX </FONT> </FONT> I took it out for the first time and hate the way it handles. I don't plan on dropping the car anytime soon. <FONT COLOR="green"> When I do it'll be with a 0.5-0.75inch drop. And when the shocks go out I'll maybe get Tokico Luminas. </FONT> I know that it's a 10yr old car so the bushings must be worn out.

<FONT COLOR="orange"> What my #1 concerns I hate how the car handles on the freeway for emergency lane changes. Meaning during 50-70mph I gently "yaw" the steering wheel right and left (still keeping in same lane) the car rolls & bounces back and forth soooo much. </FONT>

How do I elimate this.... looking for best bang for buck. Would these be helpful for fixing HWY lane changing.<FONT COLOR="blue"> Help me pick a mild setup & share with me what your setup is. </FONT>


a) GSR combo..............front (24mm) & rear (14mm) sway bars
b) stock LX front sway bar with usdm ITR rear (22mm) & break kit

c) does the Energy Suspension Flex bushing kit help? or waste of money for a non-track car...?

 

i have front upper strut bar tokico blues skunk2 coilovers and rear gsr sway bar and it elimanated that for me...

Just get some soft custom-rate GCs. You will be dropped less than an inch so travel wouldn't really be compromised. Specially for a daily driver.

Well I don't want to spend too much money on trying to fix this for my wifes car.
I figure that gsr sway bars would be less than $50 each from junk yard or local members.

any other options on how to fix this issue with the common 10yr old EG sedan?

 

what year gsr sway bars do I buy to fit my eg sedan? Do I have to buy bolts to put them on my car?

 

This isn't one of your options but I just picked up a sedan with the ITR springs & struts (swaybars yet to be installed) and I find that for a FWD car....it's actually quite neutral.
And the ride isn't bumpy at all (I'd say comparable to a luxury SUV).

But this experience is from relatively low speed (40mph), low grip & snowy conditions.

On 15" wheels (195/55 tires) there is about 2" of wheel gap on all 4 corners (if that concerns you).

Well I've thought of that option, but I have driven a EG coupe with GSR shocks/struts with GSR motor in it and it rides very decently.....(like a stock integra gsr with less weight)

But when we swaped out the GSR motor for a stock d16.... the car lifted like an extra 1inch.... so the wheel/tire gap was a total of 3inches...

haha that was crazy bro... it was like driving a civic with LIFT KIT.. hah
I don't plan on swaping a b20 (wife car) until the motor goes out in about 2-3yrs

 

i wanna know too about other people's set ups...I just dropped my car on coil-overs and it helped alot with sway...yes i know you dont wanna do this..but i am looking into teg sways to help level the car more..

pretty stiff ride but in your case i would get the eibach sportlines for a smoother ride.

I have a 4 door and right now i have stock springs/stock struts with fake mugen front upper strut bar and fake spoon rear upper strut bar and some piece of crap rear lower the bar. It still ride's like poop. I'll be upgrading to tein s-techs with tokico illuminas and hopefully some type of decent rear sway/front sway combo. Highway rides do suck though.

I found out today that stock LX sedans came with 21mm front sway bars. I was wondering if getting a 24mm gsr front sway bar would be a big difference?

Rear sway bar make more of a difference.

Wheel gap is pretty much even on all 4 corners and I have a D16 in my sedan.

Something to consider cuz I'm quite happy with this suspension
