Default D Series Pistons Comparo - P28, P29, PM6 and Others

There have been a few threads on this with alot of questions and not a lot of information, and of course no pictures. All I had laying around the shop was this selection, but I will add more as I find them. Feel free to add your own.

Pictured below are the following from left to right:
King Motorsports 0cc Custom
Stock P28
Stock PM6
Stock P29

I have a lot of other pics that I will post along with specs for each piston. I'll do that later today.

Clayton @ King

Nope. Keep in mind the stock P28 piston has a healthy -10cc dish.

0cc in a stock D16Z6 yeilds approx 11.25:1

The King pistons might look like they have a big dome, but you have to take into account the very big valve pockets.

Sure, but honestly that wasn't the intent of the post. I've been tinkering with a couple of D-Series projects and I went through the piston design exercise - thought I would share the info.

Here's a link to the King units. Although I haven't gotten around to adding them, they are available in several bore sizes.
