okay, please tell me what the hell is wrong with my car!!! its a d15b2.
this has been happensing for a few weeks now, and it leaves me stranded in places all over the city lol
i replaced the distributor and the starter, and did a tune up, and it still does it.
when i go to start the car, the starter doesnt even move, it just makes a buzzing noise from the engine bay
ot will eventually start, usually after a few hours, but thats what i dont understand, why it starts most of the time, but not always.

Same thing happened to me. I boosted the battery and let it idle (and rev for abit) for 30 minutes to let the battery charge. It doesn't happen anymore but the little battery light keeps dimming, I was told my alternator is going, so it could be that.

im having the same problem ...the only way it will turn on is when i jump it wit my bat jumper once then i turn on the lights on the check engine lite blicks on and the car dies ...!!!! wtf ....
Guys, loosen the tensioner bolt on your ac pulley, remove it. Loosen the bolt on the left of two bolts on the top of your alternator. Then remove the bolt on the right, and remove the bolt on the bottom of the alternator which you will have to probably jack the car up for. Unplug and remove the alternator. Drive it down to an auto part store and have them test it.
The car runs off of the alternator once it starts, so if the charging circuit is bad, and your battery is empty(what the car runs off of when the alternator doesn't work) then your car will most likely shut off. I believe most older hondas won't run if the alternator is not working but I don't know. Anyways, with about an hour of manual labor and a drive to the store, you could rule that out
When the battery light flickers, that usually means there is a defect in the charging system and it is running off of the battery.
Also, your main relay will click(buzz) and your CEL will flicker if your ground at your thermostat housing is loose or corroded and not making good contact.

Valve cover grouding will not stop a re from starting. They has been alot of dumb posts in this thread.
Your battery is fine if you can see the lights turn on. It's holding a charge, maybe not strong enough to start it. But it looks like it is because the lights are nice and bright.
Try having a friend crank over the engine and you tap the starter with a hammer, it might just be caught. If that doesnt work, make sure the power supply and ground going to the TRANNY/BLOCK/STARTER is fine, not the stupid valve cover one.
If that is good, take off your starter and replace it, cause it is probably dead.

you should have 4 grounds in the engine bay..battery ground, starter ground, tranny ground, thermostat housing ground, i would try tapping the starter solenoid with a pry bar and hammer while someone cranks.. if that starts it then you know you dont have power going to the solenoid.. ive seen a couple of the wires break so its not uncommon... by the way code 20 is ELD electronic load detector see what your no start problem is first and then we'll worry bout that later... you could always clear it from the computer after the problem is fixed and see if it comes back good luck
well i threw in my yellow optima bat off my DSM and it started rite up ..... i threw the other on the dsm and no go that fsucker had no juice left and lol i guess it was a dumb consern/ not checking if the bat had any juice left on my behalf but i hope the guy that started the thread get his car up ...anyways thanks again guys .... peace

ok, so i made new ground wires with 4, 6, and 8 gauge stereo and amp wire today, and i am hoping that solved the problems. only one i didnt replace is the thermostat ground, so if i get another symptom, i am sure that is why. it has been starting great, running great, and it feels much more responsive, running like a champ *fingers still crossed hoping it keeps it up*
