itb hondata
Use Crome, its free (software) and has equal to, if not greater tuning potential than Hondata.
Crome + ITB tools = easy and fast ITB tuning.

We just took off crome from a car and did the s300 and loved it. very easy to tune and worked out great. i know bubba tunes alot of the crome and does a great job on it, each tuner has his or her way of tuning and what they like best.
if you plan to do it yoursef then look at a few friends cars and see what you like - and for the cost of the crome ( 0.00 ) you cant lose.

Opinions are welcome, but how about saying why you feel that way.
I'll go ahead and defend what I said. Crome and Hondata both have plenty of resolution, and their options are nearly the same. The reason why I say Crome has a greater potential is because all new additions and tuning solutions are free, where if you want to upgrade your current Hondata setup, you have to basically purchase the complete upgrade, I could be wrong but I do not think you can get free software upgrades from Hondata.
Crome beat Hondata to the punch when it comes to TPS vs RPM tuning, and still offers the ability to imput custom scaled TPS voltages, where Hondata still doesn't.

try datalogging and real time tuning with chrome. not cheap... and need romulator and pocket programer.
Why not get a USB flashable ecu with a gang more features. along with lots of support. and extremly user friendly.?
Chrome is so 99' but it is free.. and sometimes thats all you need to hear.

how much is hondata s300? just curious. for comparison, i use the ostrich which was $175, and crome pro is $150, and a ZIF socketed ecu for about $155.
That's $480 with real time programming which works great for street and track tuning with the dyno tool feature as opposed to having just a chip burned for $500 for a dyno tune which will never be the ideal tune once you get off the rollers, but that's another story, so i feel that even if you pay $150 for Chrome pro, it really pays for itself.

If you don't want to do things on your own, get what your tuner want's to use.
If want to do it on your own and have no clue what you're doing, get Hondata and call their tech support and ask them all the questions you want (that's what you paid for).
If want to do it on your own and don't have a clue still but are willing to learn, get Crome. It can teach you a lot of things.
If you know what you're doing but still needs tech support because you don't know how to use the software, get Hondata.
If you know what you're doing and know how to use the software, get Crome.
If you're resourceful enough to get your own information, then you wouldn't asking this questions -- you will just get Crome.

Seriouly. Crome is an advanced tool for advanced users. It now has a Help file, but it's really just there to get people over the first bump. The rest, you still need to learn on your own (same with Hondata). It has unlimited potential if you know what you are doing. I know people write their own proprietary stuff with Crome because they can, compared to Hondata where you're stuck with what they give you.
Now on that note, that's what's so good about Hondata as a comercial product. Because they have control about what you can and cannot do with your car. It's a close ended solution where if it meets your needs then you have nothing to worry about.
Featurewise, Hondata has the upper hand but it doesn't mean Crome has nothing. If you don't believe me, download both and see for yourself. The difference between the two is not really on the solution they provide, but on the execution.
-------------------------------------
The answer to the first question is YES. However, you also have to look into things like, will your TPS be fully supported or do you need to rig a Honda TPS? I tried rigging a Honda TPS on my TWM ITBs before and ended up getting the TWM TPS after because the first one kept coming off.

Software upgrades are free and built in to the software (via internet connection)
Hondata S300 can be tuned in real time via a USB cable from the ECU.
Hondata S300 offers individual cylinder fuel trim.
The S300 also offers alpha-N capability for ITB's.
To each their own.

hi mike
your customers that run ITB with S300, did you tune the S300 with TPS or with MAP?
reason i am asking is due to i have very limited success with running TPS on the Smanager.
