I have a 91 crx si 1.6 and my car is missing really bad at like 4000 rpms. Also the rpm needle is jumping at like 4500 rpms. Ildes perfect, so I'm not sure what to replace. Just did a major tune-up aslo (cap, rotor, plugs, plug wires).

 

code 15 is a ignition output signal. you may have to replace your igniter inside your dist. if you need one i have a few laying around. good luck

 

is the igniter like a coil. If that was bad would the car still run good at idle?

 

The ignitor or coil can fail gradually. At idle and low rpms, the frequency of the spark pulses is low. At high rpms it is of course higher. The higher frequency may be enough to cause a break down in the coil windings.

 

your coil is most likley o.k., there is a little brownish like 2"x2" thing in there too, that is the igniter. i think that is your problem, if you dont have a wrecking yard around you that will sell you one for like $5 let me know and i will ship you one out.
