Trouble launching...1st gear keeps popping out!!
Everytime I launch, popping the clutch and full throttle, 1st gear keeps popping out of gear. Have traction bars and motor mount inserts. If I dont hit it full throttle everythings fine but this just recently started happening. 99 Civic coupe, B20 motor, B16 hydro tranny, GSR axles (went thru 4 WEAK-*** B16 axles) Any suggestions??
Do a search on the word(s) "Preload, preloading, launching techniques". I've explained it a few times here. If your tranny isn't the issue that should help alot and you'll also stop breaking axles.

other than launching does it stay in 1st ok? Feel like it engages smooth? I have seen the same problem and it was internal.

Well besides launching it stays in 1st, Im going to check the rear mount and tranny fluid tomorrow but I searched for preloading info and Im still a bit confused. I have Neuspeed sport springs and KYB adjustables. Can anyone school this noob on preloading?

Hold the e-brake up, let the clutch up just enough so you can feel the car pull, while holding the revs at what ever you want to launch at. You drop the clutch and the e-brake at the same time.
