distributer making weird noises
everytime i start my car i hear the rotor knocking on the inner wall of the distributer cap, also when i start to drive my car it bucks at 4000rpms as if it wants to shut off. the motor is an 95jdm h22a in a 91 accord.what can i do to solve this issue.
Hopefully it's nothing more than the Distributor Rotor coming adrift (set screw loosens). If not, you could be looking at a distributor with a bad shaft bearing.

There was one thread in the Accord forum where a guy professed he'd found a replacement bearing for a Honda Distributor. It was just one thread, and he never came back and report on his progress.
I believe your course of action will be to secure a replacement (either New or Remanufacturered). My reasoning?
Honda doesn't offer servicable pieces for it.

As you see, Honda doesn't offer much.
#13 was the rotor retainer screw I was talking about

now that i know i may need a new distibuter, when im driving and the rpms hit 3500 the car starts to cough(miss fire) and doesnt go any futher, unless i shift gears, but it happens through all the gears if i bring the rpms to 3500,could this be an issue due to the rotor or are there other causes to this issue
It could very well be. I'd suggest a methodical approach to diagnosing this since we're dealing with a non-stock H22a swap, and it's important to take things one at a time.
Check the distributor first. You're particularly interested (from our prior discussion) with shaft movement/slop. Also inspect the distributor cap and rotor for anything which looks like pencil lines or cracks which would indicate carbon tracks. Also check for what might be described as a blue Holographic haze on any of the inner surfaces; it indicates high voltage leakage.
If you see any of this, repair / replace as required.

i was told from the dude who drop the motor that something was craked in, or on, or around the distrubuter(whatever).he supposely fixed it,a day of stepping in the motor i heard the knocking. i bought a cap and rotor, and already replace spark plugs and wires. so hopefully its just that.but u never know, besides my distrubuter could there be any other reason my car is coughing(miss fire) at 3500rpms per gear.

No "servive engine soon" on, Correct?
I assume you're using an OBD1 ECM.....
I'm almost ready to say 'Failsafe (or as some refer to as 'Limp-Home) Mode', but it's not giving the normal indicators.
I'd still lock at the Distributor first.
