Default changing the dist. rotor on a d16y8...

ok well after taking the cap off i get to another plastic cover and cant get it off. what to do. pics...

Have someone in the car and have them turn the key so the car turns over until you see the screw. You have to look through that groove to see it. Just dont have them trying to start the motor, just turn it over.

Yeah. The rotor is a part of the distributor, which is attached to the camshaft. So as you try to start the car, the camshaft will turn, and you will eventually see the screw. It may take a few tries, but just be patient. You'll get it.

From there, just unscrew the screw, and the rotor will come off. Installation is the reverse of removal.
