Oil pressure Problem EK9
This site was recommended by a friend in Dublin, Ireland.
I heard you guys are masters when it comes to this type of thing.
I have a 96 Jap import civic SiR with a B16b engine swop.
Recently I have noticed the oil pressure has gotton very low. When Im in the vtec with foot to the floor, oil pressure doesnt even hit 2.8, and when idling, oil pressure is 0 So car is off the road till fixed.
I have ordered a new sump set, oil pump from Honda japan, and will be here in approx 3 weeks... But what else will I need> I found the oil breather box was leaking, so have one of them as well. If this doesnt fix the problem, Im screwed and possible looking at a bottom end rebuild.. The bottom block is off a DC2 Integra type-r (jap).
Any suggestion is very welcome. Car is running 193.4bhp and 149.8lbs torque.. Dont wanna loose the torque, as a 1.6 is Very good So I really dont want anyone near the bottom end, my secret will be out lol
Thanks and cheers in advance,
Buzz.

Oil pressure is developed at the main bearings.
Check your clearances.
Most (99%) of the time your problem, as describd, will be main beaaring clearance.
I know that's not what you want to hear, but it is the truth.
Good luck!

There was no need to get a new pan and sump--like stated previously it seems like its time for a rebuild before you spin a bearing and ruin the crank.
