i just had a quick question i have a hatch thats dropped about two inches and now its starting to catch up with me whenever i turn i hear clunking from the axles doe anyone know how i can keep my car slammed and without this happening like what axles can i get to make it not clunk i have a b-series motor thanks for the help

 

is the clunking more of a clicking? does it only happen around bends? if i was you i would jack your car up on the pinchweld and shake the wheel side to side and up and down and see if everything is tight up front, do this on both sides check for your swaybar endlinks, wheel bearing, top and bottom ball joints and even the strut that is probably blown before you assume its the axles, if everything is tight make sure that the axle nut is tight and that there is still a cotter pin through the nut and also check for ripped CV boots, if the boot is ripped chances are there will be grease everywhere and you will have to buy a new axle if it has been like that for a while... my car is lowered probably about 3-3.5 inches and i don't have this problem.

 

yeah lowered 2" or so wont cause a problem with the axles. as for cotter pins in the axle, ive never seen a honda with them, everyone i have seen has a staked nut. are you sure your tire isnt rubbing anywhere???

 

yea it is a violent clicking but i will check everything out tomorrow thanks for the help

 

no tire isnt rubbing its just this violent clicking nose when i turn around bends and stuff

 

any way that you might reinstalled the spring/shocks wrong??

A better way would be to jack it up under the control arm to load the suspension.

 

Def sounds like an axle. Takes like 30 minutes to fix lol.

Your axle is shot, go buy a new one.

 

my car make a loud clicking noise when i turned its most likely your cv joint in your axle...so i think you should rplace your axles soon.

 

yeah, clicking is the cv joint, get an axle man.
