Default ITR oil pan interchangeability?

hi guys, i had my DB8 ITR up on the rack at the honda dealership the other day for an oil change. the under carriage is minty fresh with only 34k miles on the car, but I was rather alarmed to see that the oil pan is bashed in pretty good in one of the corners. I think the drivetrain was removed so the car could clear customs as parts when it was originally imported (I bought it from the 3rd US owner, so I don't know the exact history).

anyway, I spoke with a friend of mine who put a B20 bottom end in his ITR and he had an ITR pan laying around. He was telling me that it is deeper than other b-series pans. I looked up the part #'s on Baranco's site and it look like GSR and ITR pans are the same: 11200-P72-010.

I might have access to my friend's ITR pan if he decides to be generous, or I also have access to an LS pan for free: 11200-P30-010.

Are B-series oilpans from vtec and non-vtec motors interchangeable at all?

You can if you use an LS Oil Pickup.

its not just the pick up that doesn't clear. I tried to put an ls oil pan on my itr because i had one lying around. the shallow portion of the pan (opposite side from the pick up) doesn't clear either. So either get a itr/gsr P72 oil pan, or go for a nice aftermarket oil pan that will help keep oil near the pickup during high g corners.

What part doesn't clear the shallow side of the LS Oil Pan? Is it the Baffle plate on the VTEC Engine?
