so. my car has been down for a while.
it was making a aweful sound. i desided that the sound was the timeing belt slapping the TB cover,
so i changed that, but now i cant get my car to start.
the timeing was off before and the cams didnt line up.
so i moved the cams to where they were both on TDC and now i cant get the car to start.
i pulled the plugs. and they were covered in oil so im thinking i have major problems with my ****.
i changed the plugs and im getting spark from thr dist...
im getting fuel.
and ive tried to get my timing right for about an hour and cant get it
what else do you think it could be?

 

Your timming belt was slapping the timming belt cover? Was it shredding or did the tensioner come loose? Sounds like the timming was thrown waaaay off. Could of bent some valves in the process...

 

the tensioner was loose. and i think it bent valves to.
but i cant i get it to start back up to find out.
and its making me angry.

 

are the plug wires in correct location on the distributor? getting any codes?

 

yea they are, and no codes. i dont know what else it could be, it has to be the timing is off

 

the car will not start if you have bent valves. because you will not have anny compression.

 

like grasshopper said...if the valve have been bent in the process then the car will not start because the valves are not seating properly which would cause no compression

almost like having a fully blown headgasket but worse

i would get a compression tester and do a test on each cylinder to see the results that will tell you whats up...

yea my compresion was like 80, haha. so my valves are gone. i havent got around to pulling off the head yet but i have another one already i just need to find the time on my day off to pull it off. i'll keep it updated.
