Default Getting A 93 Civic Dx!

ok i am gettign a dx for cheap i was wonder ing if this chip i seen on ebay.com will make a big difference and can that motor 1.5 handle the redline @ 9200 here is the link to the chip any feed back is good http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eb...734204&r=0&t=0

usually chipping a honda doesn't make a huge difference like it does to VW's, especially not a DX. if you put some serious money into the stock 1.5 liter you could probably get it to handle that redline. i wouldn't recomend getting that ECU and then trying to take it up 9,200. i think the stock redline is like 6,800 and probably can't go any higher than that before you get valve float. it says you gain 10-15 hp, but you can never believe what they say. expect more like 2-4 hp which brings you up to what? a tire shredding 108 hp? it would be a waste of money on this engine IMO. swap a B series engine into it and then you would see a difference.

Its a POS, might add 1 or 2 hp, rev to 9200 rpm and you might blow your engine, no point in revving that high, power starts to drop before 7000! Do not do it unless you wanna waste your money, IMO.
