Default gettin rid of heater core

i got an 89 si hatch and totally strippin out everything, just leavin the motor and trans with ecu and drivers seat. im at the heater core and see that it has lines runnin all through the engine bay. i searched and found many articles on replacing them but my question is, how can i eliminate it completly. one of my buddies said something about drainin the radiator and i got to cap some things off using clamp...is there anyone on HT that could help me out please. and as for the 2 canisters against the firewall at about the same locationg as the heater core bolt in the engine bay, could i eliminate those to canisters and still be able to drive my whip? sorry for the questions im still learning stuff bout these honders...thanks

take one of the heater hoses out completely - loop the other heater hose back to the engine where you took the first one off

if u notice...

there are 2 hoses that go to teh firewall (from the motor)...

disconect them both, and loop one back torwards the block...

so basically the hose is going to be doing a u-turn back to the motor...

and thats it, u can take out all the stuff underneath the dash

Those two "canisters" are the inlet and outlet for the heatercore.

It's already been explained how to re-route the lines. Follow where the two hoses go from the inlet and outlet of the heater core. Then run a new piece of hose from one of those end points to the other.
