So from what ive heard its a complete bolt up thing. So i get it all apart and the ring gear from the stock open diff of the 99-00 SI tranny will not go over my LSD. So I have read that you only need a GSR/Type R ring gear for it to the LSD to fit into my trans. Now my question is obviously the GSR/Type R ring gears are bigger than the SI gear, so what is needed to get that GSR/Type R ring gear in my trans!!! Do i shim anything or do I buy a complete ring gear and counter-shaft set-up!Someone help out I am so pissed. All help is appreciated!!

 

i am almost 90% sure you have to get the countershaft as well.

 

Don't need the counter shaft. Just need the ring gear with the larger GSR/ITR/CTR bolt pattern. Si and GSR/USDM ITR have the same FD ratio. 4.4:1

 

alright cool now the hard part is finding one. Let me know a good place to get one or if you know someone who has one sitting around. I know someone has one. So many people upgrade. Let me know!!
