help guys 92 teg code 15 no start
I have the exact same problem with my 1994 integra. Turns over but will not start. Changed spark plug wires, spark plugs, distributor cap, rotor and ignition control module. Car reads out code 15 "ignition output signal". Any one out there have any ideas for us?

i had this code, it was my ignitor coil, you have the buy a full new distributor to get this part unless you want to spend 200+ dollars for it at honda/acura, but you would be better off getting a new distributor. I do notice that you said you tried 2 different distributors, are you sure that these distributors are in proper working condition, if so, then we can conclude that your problem is NOT your igntion output signal. Be sure that you are reading the code correctly from your ECU. Anyone feel free to correct me if i am wrong. -brian

you dont have to buy a new dist. to repalce the igniter.
replace the distributer. i had the same code, replaced with a known working one and had no issues whatsoever.
also, the code means something is wrong in the distributor

youre right you dont have to replace the distributor to replace the ignitor, but try to find somewhere that sells the ignitor separately for under 200 dollars...thats why i said he is better off just getting a new distributor..next time read my post a little better before you tell me i am wrong.

I had this prob with my 91, no spark and code 15. Tried 2 dizzys and then when i gabe the borrowed ones back they didnt work either. Black and yellow wire had had corrosion on it and brook off from the harness, was grounding out on the frame shorting the coils. caused me 2 buy 2 dizzys for other people and a coil 4 me ouch

thank you very much, you are both wrong lol...stop trying to prove me wrong already because i know exactly what i am talking about and now i am going to just make you look stupid. youre just trying to say youre right but youre not cuz no one on this forum can admit they are wrong sometimes. the ignition coil and the ignitor are two completely different parts. you people are referring to the ignition coil. for example, http://shop.acurapartstore.com/?make=AC&year=1994 is for the IGNITER at 200+ dollars, gee what do ya know !?!!?and this http://shop.acurapartstore.com/?make=AC&year=1994 is for the IGNITION COIL, thank you..now realize you are wrong and suck it up.

okay maybe i was being a d*ckhead about it but the point of this forum is to get the correct information out there, and people are trying to tell me that i am wrong, but im not, you would get mad too.

well both parts almost have the same name, so it would be easy to confuse.....just a miscommunication i think...however if Timmay needs an IGNITOR, i happen to have a few laying around I'd sell for cheap....also try testing the coil and the ignitor while the battery is connected to see if the current is right, that would be easier more accurate information than changing out and trying other dizzys, and you wouldn't be hurting anyone elses dizzy
nice response. LSracing94, i could careless. I replaced my ignitor and coil at the same time, the total was $124 for both. no, they arent OEM parts from Honda, they were from Oreilly Auto Parts.
