Default !!!! idle prob > i did the coolant bypass!!!!!

ok i have the weird idle thing where when you stop at a light my idle goes up and down over and over. after trying everything this site has to offer i decided to do a coolant bypass(if u dont already know what it is look here: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1423187 ) ur basicly bypassing the coolant lines to the FITV,IACV,and the TPS. any help on what could cause the idle even after the bypass other than a vacuum leak would be great.

ps i did check for a vacuum leak

Try thinking?

What affects idle? Start there.

I just did, what do you learn if I just tell you what it is? Nothing. It would also be wise in the future to not treat one of the only REAL techs on this site with any disrespect.

Now what keeps idle constant?

I'd take a close look at the IAC. It is the only thing that can cause an idle problem like this and not cause a problem anywhere else in the power band.

you may need to build a block off plate, that's what i am getting at, although your unit has no water running through it, it could still be adjusting the idle. Or it can have its adjustment stuck at a certain place.

It may not be your IACV at all, its kind of a hands on thing. You may just have to mess around and try different things, in fact, you will have to. Let us know, good luck

I could see a whole lot of things causing a slugginsh midrange. But nothing that would cause this problem as well.
